I'm interested in evolutionary algorithms to study the emergence of complexity and modularity in artificials organisms.
While the emergence of complexity is a key question in evolution, complexity of living organisms or of their constitutive parts such as genetic networks is poorly defined. I'm using artificial networks to validate the usage of some estimator of complexity based on the way organisms perceive their environment through the unifying perspective of natural selection.
